MSNBC rolls out new desk, decks out walls with new graphics

“Morning Joe” was using a new anchor desk this morning, likely the one MSNBC will be using for election night coverage. The new, L-shaped desk appears to seat at least five people. Three plasmas front the anchor desk, including one on the end of the shorter arm of the “L.”

The riser in front of the anchor desk also features the MSNBC logo inlaid on the floor.

The wall to the right of the double story plasma array now features bold red and blue graphics, including several that have been attached to the normally-gray walls as well as the backlit area.

MSNBC has also added stars and stripes to the front of the balcony.

The installation of these elements are likely the reason MSNBC was using the “NBC Nightly News” studio Sunday.
