Stephen Arnold takes home the gold at PromaxBDA

Stephen Arnold Music won the Gold Award at the recent PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards held in New York.

The company got the win in the “Sales Promotion – Collateral/Specialty” category for its Sonic Branding LP, an eye-and-ear catching package celebrating the special place that vinyl retains for music aficionados everywhere.

Stephen Arnold Music sent its 2010 sonic branding and music demo as a vinyl LP, accompanied by an enhanced CD,  complete with a throwback record cover that paid tribute to the great classic records of the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. The package showed the personality of Stephen Arnold Music and samples of its best work in the process.
Track sequence, liner notes, record label and jacket design of the LP record label were all executed down to meticulous levels of detail. The inside panels included black and white photos of the Stephen Arnold Music studio, staff and musicians in the style of classic vinyl record albums.

“The idea behind the Sonic Branding LP was that it would be something physical that people would receive, in a time when everything else is so email-driven,” said Stephen Arnold, President of Stephen Arnold Music. “We got a really enthusiastic response to this package – it was reflective of the amazing album covers that Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, or Strawberry Alarm Clock might do, and so there was a real tendency for people to remember it and keep it on their desk. With so many great entries in the 2011 competition, it’s a big honor to be recognized by Promax with a Gold award.”
