‘Stained glass’ set coming to Miami

NewscastStudio received some renderings courtesy of NewsBlues of what is being dubbed the “stained glass” set at WPLG-TV in Miami.

The set design hasn’t officially been credited to anyone, but it matches the renderings posted on FX Group’s Web site and is credited to Aldo Alvarez. The renderings were posted in December on FX’s site.

This is an interesting design and, if the final installation matches the renders, will certainly be one of the more colorful news sets in the country.

It will be interesting to see how it goes over with viewers. It’s also interesting that FX posted the renderings online before the design debuted. Typically stations like to keep their new sets under wraps until debut date.

It’s not like viewers are searching the internet for a sneek peek…
