‘10 Connects’ brand reaches beyond one-way newscasts

The St. Petersburg Times has a profile on WTSP-TV’s new newscasts brand “10 Connects.”
The format, which debuted in October, includes strategies such as live chats during the news and airing of viewer-submitted video clips and while newscasts can attract up to 150 chatters, it remains to be seen if the strategy will work in the coming year, which is bound to be challenging.

The new look uses a unique blend of colors, typefaces and images.

A look at Gannett’s ‘red’ and ‘blue’ graphics packages

WKYC-TV, the Gannett NBC affiliate in Cleveland, has debuted new graphics using the group’s Pyburn Films-designed packages and powered by Chyron’s Axis Graphics.
