Gannett offering two versions of Pyburn graphics to stations

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Gannett, who earlier this year selected Chryon’s Axis to power its newly centralized graphics operations, will begin testing the new system in unspecified markets.

The stations will all begin using the same graphics package, designed by Pyburn Films, but will have a choice in either a red or blue toned version.

This means the station’s existing graphics packages, including fairly recent HD-ready ones by Giant Octopus are out.

Day-to-graphics will be handled via Axis’ Web-based system while more advanced graphic work and promos will be handled by a central facility in Denver.
