Broadcast Production Awards officially open for entries

By NewscastStudio

The Broadcast Production Awards, NewscastStudio’s annual awards program honoring the best in broadcast production and technical achievement, is now open for entries.

The program includes the popular Set of the Year competition, now in its eleventh year, with expanded categories for corporate and streaming scenic design along with a new category for fabrication.

Other changes for this year’s contest include:

  • An expansion of the augmented and virtual reality design categories, noting the divergence of news, sports and entertainment design and application
  • New categories for production music including production music placement in news and promos promotions
  • Updated categories for Best New Product or Service, expanding to include hardware and engineering along with production

To be eligible, a project must have debuted between Jan. 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2019, with the competition open to broadcasters, publishers, designers, agencies, product manufacturers or vendors, as long as the work was published and/or on-air during the eligibility window. For more about submission requirements, read the FAQs.

The winners of the Broadcast Production Awards will be announced in April 2020 during the NAB Show and across NewscastStudio’s social platforms.
