Estrella TV has announced its strongest ratings performance in at least one key demo in nearly five years.
The Spanish-language U.S. network, which is owned by MediaCo, saw growth in several key segments of the data Nielsen tracks, including a 51% season-to-date growth for its Monday through Sunday primetime schedule in the adults 18 to 49 demo.
Its February ratings show 40,900 viewers in the same demographic, which is the highest since May 2022. The month also saw a 65% growth over February 2025 and scored its eleventh month of year-over-year gains from the past 15 calendar months, though it was not specified if this was based on a demo or some other factor.
EstrellaTV also noted that it “out-delivered” UniMás on 26 prime nights season-to-date. The network’s announcement did not specify what data segment this claim is based on.
The network also had the distinction of being the fastest-growing network across all of Spanish- and English-language media.
Weekday growth over season-to-date averages was up for several key programs. “100 Latinos Dijeron” was up 90%, while “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” saw 51% growth. “Alarma TV” was up 43%, “Noticiero Cierre de Edición” grew by 60% and “24 Horas Late” was up 75%.
EstrellaTV’s new daytime show “Sin Filtro” delivered what the network called “consistent double-digit performance,” peaking at 22,300 in February.
The weekend “Cine Estrella” was up 96% and the network said multiple other daytime blocks saw 80 to 98% gains.
Again, the network did not provide more specific details about what data was used to calculate this growth for these specific programs.
“This is sustained growth, not a short-term spike,” said Brian Fisher, chief revenue officer, MediaCo, in a statement. “EstrellaTV is delivering audience acceleration while others are declining. For advertisers, that means scale, engagement, and competitive advantage – all in one place.”
EstrellaTV launched in 2009. The network has affiliates in just over three dozen markets, including the top four in the U.S., with its signal carried largely on low-powered stations or digital subchannels.
It also distributes its feed for free on a variety of mobile and connected TV apps.
