Brightline Lighting adds flexible lighting fixtures for small production spaces

Contributed Content / Press Release July 28, 2026

Brightline Lighting, a manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting systems for broadcast, videoconferencing, government, education and corporate applications, introduced the MOD1, the first fixture in its new MOD Series of professional LED lighting solutions.

The MOD1 combines the soft illumination of Brightline’s Flex-T rotating lay-in ceiling fixture with the directional versatility of its SeriesONE LED studio fixtures. This creates a compact, suspended lighting solution intended for broadcasters and organizations to achieve professional studio lighting in spaces where conventional lighting systems are not practical.

The MOD1 is the initial product in Brightline’s MOD family, with the MOD2 and MOD3 models planned for future release.

Kathy Katz, co-founder of Brightline Lighting, said the MOD1 was developed for evolving production environments such as smaller studios, in-house corporate video production, podcast studios, and multipurpose rooms with suspended ceilings. The fixture is designed to bridge architectural lighting and traditional studio lighting, allowing designers to create a soft, broadcast-quality look in challenging spaces.

Unlike traditional lay-in ceiling fixtures, the MOD1 suspends below the ceiling on extension hardware. This allows the fixture to be lowered into an optimal lighting position and rotated to illuminate talent precisely. The design provides increased flexibility for high ceilings, limited room dimensions, or installations where traditional studio grids are not feasible.

The MOD1 combines features from both the Flex-T and SeriesONE product lines, blending architectural integration with professional studio performance.

The fixture uses high-performance mid-power LEDs delivering greater than 97 CRI for color accuracy on camera. It is available in multiple fixed color temperatures or a Variable White model ranging from 3000K to 5600K, supporting dynamic color matching for various production environments.

Weighing 8 pounds (3.63 kg), the MOD1 features adjustable optics with ±90-degree directional beam control and offers spot or flood beam options. It supports control protocols including 0-10V, DALI, DMX/RDM, and Low Voltage DMX for integration into new or existing lighting systems.

Designed for durability, the MOD1 includes a 6063-T5 aluminum heat sink, universal 120-277V operation, and high-efficiency electronic drivers with integrated power and control connections.

The fixture is available in black or white finishes with C-Clamp or Surface Mount configurations and is MET certified.
