tvONE introduces new tools for LED wall and video integration
tvONE announced a firmware and software update for its CALICO PRO video processors on March 25, 2026. The update, CALICO Studio v1.5, introduces DMX control via sACN and a new EDID Manager feature.
The update allows CALICO PRO devices to be configured for full DMX control over sACN through CALICO Studio software. This enables lighting programmers to trigger video processing functions, cues, and transitions directly from lighting consoles or other DMX control devices. The integration aims to synchronize the timing of video and lighting effects within a single control environment.
Darren Gaffey, global product director at tvONE, said the DMX control integration offers new operational options for production teams by allowing lighting programmers to manage video pixels from their existing consoles.
The EDID Manager feature provides users with detailed control over display communication. Installers and engineers can upload external EDID files, create and edit custom EDIDs, generate single-resolution EDIDs, and assign input-specific EDIDs. This functionality supports complex LED wall setups, unconventional signal chains, and demanding integration scenarios.
The update is positioned as a way to streamline workflows by consolidating video and lighting control, reducing the need for separate operators and timing coordination.
