Public Media Management added Christian Siebeneck as vice president of technology and innovation, expanding its leadership team as it grows its cloud and joint master control services for public television stations.

The company said Siebeneck will work with stations to support adoption of PMM Cloud and PMM Classic and help shape the company’s network operations center capabilities and technology roadmap.

Siebeneck most recently served as chief technology officer at Twin Cities Public Television in St. Paul, Minn. Before that, he was chief technologist at Ideastream Public Media in Cleveland. He also served as an adviser on PBS’s Enterprise Technology Committee.

His background includes broadcast infrastructure modernization, cloud systems, operations and enterprise technology strategy, according to the company.

“Christian brings exactly the kind of real-world public media experience that resonates with station leaders,” Marc Hand, CEO of Public Media Management, said. “His understanding of the challenges stations face, from aging infrastructure to tightening budgets, makes him a natural advocate for what PMM delivers in support of local public stations.”

In the new role, Siebeneck also will represent PMM at the NAB Show and the PBS Annual Meeting.

“I’m excited to join PMM as VP of Technology & Innovation, where I can strengthen the cloud services that power public media while driving innovation that supports the vital work of stations across the country,” Siebeneck said.
