Encompass Digital Media expands partnership with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Encompass Digital Media, a global provider of managed broadcast and cloud-based media services, announced an expanded partnership with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to deliver cloud-native solutions for media organizations worldwide.

The collaboration integrates Encompass Digital Media’s Altitude Cloud platform and Master Control in the Cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering with OCI’s cloud infrastructure designed for media. This combination aims to help broadcasters, sports leagues, and streaming platforms modernize production, playout, and distribution workflows while maintaining the performance and reliability needed for live and linear services.

Altitude Cloud supports Encompass Digital Media’s playout, master control, distribution, video-on-demand processing, archive, and disaster recovery services. The platform is designed for live and file-based workloads and supports geo-redundant deployment, dynamic scaling, and service levels across linear, free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST), over-the-top (OTT), and global distribution environments.

Running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and powered by Techex, Encompass Digital Media’s Master Control in the Cloud provides a fully managed SaaS-based master control solution. It enables customers to shift from fixed, facility-based architectures to a cloud-native model for traditional broadcast operations.
