The “tower of babble,” as Al Roker jokingly referred to it, is home to many local NBC affiliates broadcasting from the 2012 Olympic games.

“[It’s]what I call ‘The Hollywood Squares,’ it is like nine broadcast booths,” Roker said. “There is another six [booths] that are really nice, air conditioned, with windows, toilets and all that, ours are basically, well, it is a tent camp,” he added jokingly.

Located next to the “Today Show” set, the tower rises three stories and is a beehive of activity during peak broadcast times.
