Networks blow in with big Harvey coverage on evening newscasts

‘ABC World News Tonight’

Over on “ABC World News Tonight,” producers used the show’s normal breaking news graphics for the pre-show tease, before switching to David Muir at the anchor desk with hurricane imagery behind him on the studio’s large curved video wall.

The video wall was also used to show an oversized satellite loop of the storm.

The network’s chief meteorologist, Ginger Zee, then joined Muir at the anchor desk, using a large monitor to point out key facets of the storm formation.
