The Providence Phoenix has an interesting read on how the city’s CBS affiliate, WPRI-TV and its sister station, Fox station WNAC-TV, have developed a unique and ambitious strategy to garner as many eyeballs as possible. The strategy centers around providing high quality, enterprise content and was a direct response to the the Providence Journal’s decision to erect a paywall over its content.
