LIN Media’s KOIN-TV debuted a revamped brand this April with a new logo, graphics package, set design and news music package.

The new set was designed by Anthony Ferguson of Studio A Broadcast Designs, who also recently completed sets for WJCL-TV and KSNW-TV.

A 3×3 monitor wall is located camera center, with backlit graphic panels on the left and right sides. The anchor desk includes a built-in monitor and backlit elements with blue striping.

To the left of the anchor desk is a standup/multi-purpose area that was refreshed from the former set design. A 3×3 monitor wall was added to this area along with multiple standup monitors.

To the right of the anchor area is a new weather center that includes a large monitor and backlit desk.

Overall, the new set design is crisp with bright colors and a high tech look. The design is light on wood and features a good mix of technology, backlit elements and graphics.

To match the look, KOIN-TV switched news music packages to “The Unexpected” by 615 Music, a division of Warner Chappell Production Music.
