Nexstar Media Group is launching an “Investing in America” initiative to highlight economic growth across the country.

The series is part of a broader cross-platform effort to help celebrate America’s 250th anniversary

“Investing in America” will highlight communities across the nation that are driving growth through infrastructure modernization, workforce development, housing, education, small-business expansion and emerging technologies, according to a Nexstar announcement.

“As the nation’s largest local television station group, Nexstar has the unique ability to spotlight the stories of investing, innovation, and economic growth happening in communities across the country,” said Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcast division, in a statement.

The effort launched March 2, 2026, as a five-part weekday series across Nexstar stations. It will then continue with weekly installments as well as quarterly one-hour specials targeted for release of digital and streaming platforms.

Nexstar will also leverage its stations to help generate more than 100 stories per month under the effort. Some of these stories will be shared across sister stations and will be featured in a monthly CTV program, “Building for the Next 250.”

Many stations across the country have launched initiatives marking America’s 250th birthday with a variety of focuses ranging from civics education to history and community profiles.
