Comcast Technology Solutions grows playout infrastructure with Diversified support

Diversified announced a strategic collaboration with Comcast Technology Solutions to expand playout infrastructure at CTS’s global Broadcast Operations Center in Colorado. The effort focuses on scaling operations to support growing demand for content distribution across broadcast, streaming and live sports.

The companies said the initiative modernized CTS’s playout environment through the integration of SMPTE ST 2110-based IP infrastructure, advanced monitoring tools and centralized network operations. The upgrade is intended to improve efficiency, deployment speed and system resilience.

The expanded facility consolidates multiple workflows and clients into a unified monitoring and control environment, enabling streamlined staffing and faster issue resolution. It also serves as a demonstration site for next-generation playout and distribution technologies.

“This expansion represents more than a facility upgrade. It reflects where the industry is going,” said Jason Kornweiss, senior vice president of advisory services at Diversified.

Diversified has also deployed on-site engineering and delivery teams at the Dry Creek facility to support ongoing operations and scaling. The companies said the embedded model is designed to accelerate decision-making and maintain continuous system optimization.

“As demand for next-gen playout services continues to grow across broadcast, streaming and sports, having the right team in place is critical,” said Bart Spriester, senior vice president and general manager, streaming, broadcast & advertising at Comcast Technology Solutions.

The collaboration reflects broader industry trends toward centralized, IP-based media operations and outsourced playout services, according Diversified. It added that media companies are increasingly consolidating infrastructure to support multi-platform distribution and growing channel volumes.

Diversified and Comcast Technology Solutions plan to discuss these developments during a session at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas focused on the evolution of playout and distribution workflows.
