Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is joining FNC as an on-air contributor, less than three months after leaving the Trump administration.
Leavitt will begin her new role Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, providing political commentary and analysis across FNM platforms. The network announced her hiring Monday, Oct. 5, 2026.
“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement announcing the move.
Leavitt, 29, served as White House press secretary from January 2025 through August 2026, becoming the youngest person to hold the position. Before joining Donald Trump’s second administration, she served as national press secretary for his 2024 presidential campaign.
“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House press secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms,” Leavitt said.
Leavitt left the White House at the end of August 2026 following the birth of her second child. At the time, she said the demands of the position had become difficult to balance with raising her two young children. Trump said she would remain an outside adviser after her departure.
Her move continues a long history of former White House press secretaries transitioning into television news and commentary roles.
Kayleigh McEnany, who served as press secretary during Trump’s first administration, joined FNC in 2021 and later became a co-host of “Outnumbered.” Dana Perino, who held the position under President George W. Bush, is a Fox host and co-host of “The Five.”
Former Biden administration press secretary Jen Psaki moved to MS NOW after leaving the White House and hosts “The Briefing with Jen Psaki.”
Leavitt also has previous experience with Fox. She interned at the network while attending Saint Anselm College during the 2016 presidential election and has appeared frequently on its programming as a Trump campaign and administration spokesperson.
