Subscribe to NewscastStudio for the latest news, project case studies and product announcements in broadcast technology, creative design and engineering delivered to your inbox.
If you subscribe to our Twitter or Facebook feeds you’ll start noticing links to our pages from these services will be going through a new domain, nca.st, rather than the usual the one we’ve been using, bit.ly.
There’s no change in how you will interact with the links; simply clicking them will take you the appropriate content.
We’ve extolled upon the virtues of custom URL shorteners before and decided it was time for us to jump on board as well. Our sister site, TV News Insider, has been using tvni.us for shorten links for a while now.
I’ve personally take a bit of an interest in vanity URL shorteners, including launching a site that maintains a large list of them.
In case you’re curious, .st is a domain extension that belongs to the African island nation of São Tomé and PrÃncipe.
Please note that this URL shortener is not being offered for use by the general public; only NewscastStudio editors can shorten URLs with it.
