“The No. 1 driver of why to watch the news (is weather), so we bought the biggest, baddest weather gear that we could that’s available on the market,” said General Manager Brent McClure. “There is none better.”

Along with new weather equipment the station has also purchased new cameras and field equipment costing over $1 million.

It is unknown if  the station will also debut new graphics or a new set.
