France 2’s “Journal de 20 Heures” used augmented reality to explain some of the challenges emergency crews are facing fighting the wildfires blazing in Australia.
The segment starts with the presenter standing on a virtual road near a sign, which is used to display key data points and facts.
Eventually, a virtual fire engulfs the area behind the sign.
The virtual environment was created in Avid’s Maestro Virtual Set solution and Unreal Engine.
