SDVI Rally Access Workstation Earns Two Top Awards at 2024 NAB Show

SDVI’s Rally Access Workstation, a fully managed solution for editing in the cloud with Adobe Premiere Pro, picked up two major award wins at the 2024 NAB Show.

This new addition to the SDVI Rally media supply chain management platform earned an NAB Show 2024 Product of the Year Award in the Cloud Computing and Storage category and a Best of Show Award, presented by TV Tech magazine.

“Allowing media organizations to move essential manual edit tasks to the cloud, Rally Access Workstation enables greater orchestration and automation across the supply chain,” said Geoff Stedman, chief marketing officer at SDVI, in a statement. “Users can move away from the cost and complexity of managing physical workstations, instead realizing flexibility and scalability in connecting authorized editors anywhere to high-end edit software and the content they need. Rally Access Workstation represents an exciting advance for cloud-based media supply chains, and we’re proud that this innovation was recognized with two prestigious awards at this year’s NAB Show.”

Rally Access Workstation enables anywhere, anytime access to hosted edit workstations and content in the cloud, dynamically managing associated infrastructure deployment so that media organizations can scale their edit capacity easily and cost-effectively within an automated media supply chain. Users run an instance of Adobe Premiere Pro on a cloud-based virtual workstation with all content (high-resolution and/or proxy) preloaded in the bin, as well as markers on the timeline corresponding to workorder items that need attention, as identified by automated processing upstream in the supply chain. Because content stays in the cloud, media organizations avoid latencies and egress costs associated with on-premises edit workstations.

NAB Show 2024 Product of the Year Awards were selected by a panel of industry experts in 19 categories, recognizing and celebrating the most significant and promising new products exhibited at the show.

“These winners represent the most cutting-edge advancements and technologies shaping the future of content creation, distribution, and monetization,” said Eric Trabb, senior vice president and chief customer success officer at NAB Global Connections and Events. “They are driving the industry forward, and we are excited to recognize them as they break through with a remarkable range of solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible in our industry.”

The Best of Show Awards from TV Tech and other brands at its parent company, Future US, were judged by a panel of industry experts on criteria including innovation, feature set, cost efficiency, and performance in serving the media and entertainment tech industry.
