MS NOW is taking five of its programs on the road during October 2026, with anchors broadcasting from Maine, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Michigan ahead of the midterm elections.
The network’s “Road to the Midterms” coverage begins Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, and will feature Jen Psaki, Ali Velshi, Chris Hayes, Katy Tur and Peter Alexander anchoring their regular programs from states with closely watched Senate and gubernatorial races.
Psaki will begin the series Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, anchoring “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” from Portland, Maine. The broadcast comes as early voting begins in the Senate race between Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins and Democratic candidate and former state Sen. Troy Jackson.
Velshi will take “The 11th Hour with Ali Velshi” to Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, at 11 p.m. ET. The program will focus on the state’s gubernatorial and Senate contests, with Velshi speaking with voters at The Ohio State University and examining how the races could affect election night.
Hayes will anchor “All In with Chris Hayes” from Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET. His coverage will examine Georgia’s Senate and gubernatorial races as well as their potential effects on contests further down the ballot.
“The Moment with Katy Tur” will originate from Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET. Tur will focus on the Senate race between Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Democratic state Rep. James Talarico, including the parts of the state where Democratic performance could prove significant in the contest.
The series concludes Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, when Alexander anchors “State of Play with Peter Alexander” from Detroit, Michigan, at 11 a.m. ET. The program will cover the Senate race between Democrat Dr. Abdul El-Sayed and former Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers and examine how trade tensions with Canada are affecting Michigan voters.
MS NOW Chief Political Reporter Chris Jansing and Political Director Shawna Thomas will also contribute to the coverage, along with reporters Nnamdi Egwuonwu, Will McDuffie, Josh Einiger and others.
The network says its reporters will speak with voters throughout the five states about the issues influencing individual races and the broader fight for control of Congress.
