NewsNation to host midterm town hall featuring Chris Cuomo, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith

NewsNation will hold a two-hour live town hall focused on the 2026 midterm elections, with Chris Cuomo hosting and Stephen A. Smith among the participants.

“Decision Desk 2026 Have Your Say: A NewsNation Town Hall” will air Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, from the network’s studio in New York City, New York.

The special will bring together political figures, podcasters and other guests for discussions about issues influencing voters ahead of the Nov. 3, 2026, elections.

NewsNation will also incorporate a 100-person studio audience representing a range of political viewpoints. Audience members will be given opportunities to participate in the discussion and question guests during the broadcast.

Cuomo, who anchors “Cuomo” for the network, will lead the event. Smith, the ESPN personality and host of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” will participate alongside additional political and media figures.

The town hall is part of NewsNation’s “Decision Desk 2026” election coverage and is designed to put voter questions and concerns at the center of the discussion.

The event will start at 8 p.m. ET, which is normally when “Cuomo” would air. The hour-long town hall will be followed by special editions of “On Balance with Leland Vittert” at 10 p.m. and “Katie Pavlich Tonight” at 11 p.m.
