Rio Grande Valley station going HD

Residents of the Rio Grande River Valley have something else to look forward to on the year’s catchiest date — 09/09/09 — HD news.

KRGV-TV, the region’s ABC affiliate is switching to HD news and has released the promo below. The station has been broadcasting from the newsroom and is promoting “big changes planned for the studio” on its Facebook page. No word yet on who’s behind the new look.
