As Hurricane Irma pummeled Florida Sunday evening, the networks all offered special coverage of the storm, with their primary weekday anchors featured prominently.
‘CBS Evening News’
“CBS Evening News” interim anchor Anthony Mason and WBZ chief meteorologist Eric Fisher at CBS News headquarters in New York, while Jeff Glor anchored from the field in St. Petersburg, Fla., a setup it has been using in recent days.
The network stuck with its normal “CBS Weekend News” open and branding, with the panes in the open adjusted to feature hurricane related imagery.
The broadcast used its normal lower thirds with an additional “Hurricane Irma” tier added.
