A bit of sad news, the passing of Ben Blank

Ben Blank, longtime graphic designer for ABC News, passed away this week. Like others in ABC-TV’s storied past, Mr. Blank bought many of the modern elements to TV news. As a designer at an ABC affiliate in the 80’s, I admired ABC’s remarkable decades-long evolution of classy set and graphic design.”

Ben Blank died on Tuesday. He was responsible for the now widely used over the shoulder graphic along with many other news graphics improvements.
