To celebrate its 65th anniversary, Dallas NBC O&O KXAS-TV incorporated a bit of nostalgia into a newscast last week — by having its forecaster present the weather using hand drawn maps rather than the chroma key or video wall technology that’s now commonplace in TV news. See the clip above.
