Square-ish logos

Logos that aren’t quite square but close (aka rectangles) have similar challenges as square ones, such as Fox News‘.

The fix: The more rectangular the logo, the smaller it will have to become to fit well within the “safe” space of the circular, which can be problematic. Here again, the options are somewhat limited — place the logo against a backdrop or, a good option that can also be applied to square-shaped logos, simplify the logo so it just contains the text and other important symbols and set it against a background that matches your brand.
