For the second hour, the anchor desk atop the LED ribbon was also used for interaction shots between Schmitt and Mele and meteorologist Janice Dean, who used one of the studio’s smaller video wall segments as a weather map.

This section of wall, located near one of the studio’s corners, was shot off-axis and also allowed the studio’s dimensional, lighted logo and light wood finishes show up prominently on camera.
