Sunday morning shows lead with John McCain’s death

On CBS News’ Sunday morning public affairs show, “Face the Nation,” moderator Margaret Brennan started the show with an extended tease and simple graphic of McCain’s photo set against a black background.

Brennan started the show in front of a prerecorded video loop of the Capitol, which, notably, appears to have a modified version with the flag in front of the dome at half-staff, like it was Sunday morning.
