Studio 1A Rockefeller Center
Studio 1A is a streetside studio owned and operated by NBC News within the Rockefeller Center complex in New York City.
It is technically located at 10 Rockefeller Center, across the street from the network’s primary headquarters in 30 Rockefeller Center.
Studio 1A serves primarily as the home of “Today” as well as “Today Third Hour” and “Today with Hoda and Jenna.”
The studio itself is actually two levels, though both floors share the “1A” label.
Other shows have also used 1A over the years, including NBC News’ election coverage and MSNBC programming. It was also temporary home to “NBC Nightly News” after letters containing anthrax were delivered to NBC, requiring the newscast’s normal studio to be decontaminated.
