ESPN SportsCenter is rolling out a new HD graphics package on Monday, April 6. The new look keeps the “energy and the look appropriate for ESPN’s best-known program, but is enhanced with more detail in a futuristic, effects-driven presentation.“
According to Sports Business Daily, the new graphics “include a new font, layout and colors.” The rundown has also moved to the left hand side and other tweaks are sure to be seen. The previous graphics have been used since SportsCenter’s HD launch in 2004.
This new debut will also happen as ESPN opens their new Los Angeles production facilities, “ESPN will have two studios, three production control rooms, two master control rooms, eight edit suites, a voiceover room and other infrastructure for more than 12,300 feet.”
