Networks head to Capitol, Virginia for baseball shooting coverage

CBS News, on the other hand, went in the opposite direction, branding its entire open under the “Congressional Shooting” name.

The open used a slightly different design than the broadcast’s normal one, bit still maintained the boxy motif in parts, though it emphasized fullscreen imagery for much of it.

The broadcast also used a slight textural effect on the word “shooting” in some cases.

Instead of anchoring from Virginia, however, CBS positioned anchor Scott Pelley inside the Capitol.
