Broadcast Pix will show new features of its ioGates cloud-based media management service during IBC 2017 (Stand 7.A15). Among several operational improvements, the new features expand branding capabilities and improve the ability to share videos online for public viewing.
With the update, ioGates allows any video within the client’s cloud-based library to be embedded into Facebook, Twitter, or any website. Burn-in subtitles can also be added to content using any codec, and XML exports now include deeps links. Share links now offer branding options, including customized colors and logos. Plus, share links can be viewed on Apple TV.
ioGates has also added keyboard shortcuts (using the default Avid layout) to control video playback speed, and now allows thumbnail grabs to be pulled directly from the player or specific timecode. Users can also view text files in the player window.
“ioGates is already known for our comprehensive cloud-based media management. The platform works well as a broadcast facility’s gateway for FTP administration or as a way to share film dailies securely with the crew,” explained Jesper Andersen, COO of ioGates. “These enhancements are designed to bring even more functionality to our service and streamline the user experience.”
