NBC Connecticut announces ‘CT Live’ will air as part of its access hour lineup

NBC Connecticut will add a prime access edition of its locally produced lifestyle program “CT Live” beginning Monday, Sept. 14, 2026.

The program will air Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on WVIT while continuing its existing 11:30 a.m. broadcast.

The new edition will debut ahead of NBC’s coverage of the 78th Emmy Awards, which begins at 8 p.m. ET that night. Mariska Hargitay will host the ceremony, which will also stream on Peacock.

Other schedule changes include dropping the second hour of “NBC News Daily” at 3 p.m. — where “The Kelly Clarkson Show” was — to air “News Zone,” according to future public schedules but not confirmed by the station. “News Zone” is the name of an existing show WNBC, which is WVIT’s sister station, produces. 

On Fridays, “The Hub Today” takes the place of “CT Live” at 11:30 a.m. and “On Her Mark” is listed at 7:30 p.m. “Hub” is a program produced by sister station WBTS in Boston, while “On Her Mark” is the name of a podcast by NBC Sports Boston personality Hannah Donnelly. 

Hosted by Abbey Carnivale, “CT Live” features restaurants, businesses, entertainment, community organizations, events and other attractions throughout Connecticut. 

“We know our audience wants local content that is useful, engaging and relevant to their everyday lives,” said Katherine Clemens, marketing and creative services director for NBC and Telemundo Connecticut, in a statement. “Adding more ‘CT Live’ gives us another opportunity to deliver that while showcasing all there is to see, do and experience across Connecticut.”

In addition to its television broadcasts, “CT Live” content is distributed through NBC Connecticut’s digital and social platforms, streaming services and a podcast.

Carnivale has hosted “CT Live” since May 2025. A graduate of Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism, she began her career at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut, and later worked as an on-air journalist in New York’s Hudson Valley and at Western Mass News.
