Networks ‘split’ Cohen, Manafort coverage on very busy news day

Next up Pete Williams covered the Manafort trial, which included a variety of money themed imagery — complete with a greenback inspired color palette. 

The network also included licensed courtroom sketches from Art Lien, which had the layered “Ken Burns” effect applied, like it did last week.

In addition, a black and yellow graphic clearly outlined the status of the jury’s verdict on the 18 total counts brought against Manafort.

NBC then had a a one minute question and answer with political director and “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd with some B-roll footage running during his brief discussion with Holt.
