Ateme propels spatial computing with TITAN encoders for Apple Vision Pro

Ateme, a company offering video compression, delivery and streaming solutions, announces that its TITAN encoders now enable new ways of consuming video assets on the Apple Vision Pro.

Leveraging Ateme’s Gen 7 compression engine to support spatial computing through the MV-HEVC standard, TITAN encoders can now deliver stereoscopic 3D content for spatial computing.

Spatial computing enables new ways of consuming content, where viewers are immersed into the action through real-life virtual scenes and characters portrayed in 3D stereoscopic video, as well as immersive audio coming from all directions and even bouncing off the objects in a user’s surroundings, for a true-to-life experience. Ateme’s TITAN encoders stand at the forefront of this revolution, empowering content providers and rights owners to deliver immersive experiences previously unseen.

By embracing the MV-HEVC standard and leveraging Ateme’s expertise in multi-layer HEVC formats for video compression, Ateme ensures seamless compatibility and exceptional quality for 3D video on the Apple Vision Pro platform.

3D stereoscopic content encoded by Ateme for the Apple Vision Pro will be showcased at Ateme’s booth in the West Hall, Booth W1721, at the 2024 NAB Show from April 14 to 17, 2024, in Las Vegas.
