NBC Bay Area names Kylen Mills host of Giants coverage

NBC-owned KNTV in the San Francisco, California, market has named Kylen Mills host of its live gameday coverage of the San Francisco Giants beginning this MLB season.

“Kylen is an incredibly talented and versatile sports media professional who has excelled in delivering great experiences for fans in her roles covering Northern California sports and national events,” said Matt Murphy, president and general manager of NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California, in a statement. “We’re pleased to welcome her back and add her to our already talented team of analysts, producers and staff.”

In her new role, Mills will host the station’s new “Giants Pregame Live” and “Giants Postgame Live,” which bookend NBC Sports Bay Area’s live Giants games with news, analysis and commentary.

Former Giants players Shawn Estes, Rich Aurilia, Sergio Romo and George Kontos, and longtime coach and executive Ron Wotus, who will rotate as analysts alongside Mills. 

Both shows will debut March 27, 2026.

Mills has nearly 14 years of media experience, including roles with NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California.

Most recently, she has been as a studio host for Big Ten Network, while also serving as a play-by-play announcer covering soccer, volleyball and women’s basketball. Mills has also been a host and analyst for live NWSL games on ION, where she has also contributed to WNBA coverage.

Mills’ previous experience with NBC Sports Bay Area and California includes hosting Athletics gameday coverage and reporting for San Jose State University football games. Her experience in Bay Area sports also includes more than two years as a sports anchor and reporter for KRON, serving as an announcer and analyst for PAC-12 Networks and co-hosting the “Locked-On Warriors” podcast.

Earlier in her career, Mills was an anchor, reporter host and producer for television stations in multiple markets, including Lexington, Kentucky, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Lewis University in her native Illinois, where she played soccer and tennis while earning an undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism.
