SDVI unveils redesigned Rally platform with new orchestration engine

Contributed Content / Press Release April 7, 2026

SDVI has announced the next generation of its Rally media supply chain management platform. The updated platform features a redesigned orchestration engine built on a declarative supply chain architecture that separates the control plane from the data plane.

Key new capabilities include a graphical supply chain builder, a modular supply chain functions layer, and a foundation for agentic artificial intelligence (AI) integration. The graphical builder provides a visual interface for designing, building, and monitoring supply chain workflows. The modular functions layer offers reusable building blocks for common supply chain tasks, with a library of prebuilt functions and support for customer-developed functions.

The platform also introduces a supply chain rewind feature, which allows operators to step back through supply chain execution during live runs to assist with failure analysis and troubleshooting.

The agentic AI interface includes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables external AI systems to interact with Rally. These systems can query asset metadata, supply chain status, and operational information, as well as trigger and control supply chain execution based on real-time data. Rally’s supply chains are expressed in a structured, human-readable definition language, allowing AI agents and large language models to read, interpret, and author workflows directly. Natural language interfaces enable operators to configure workflows and monitor operations using conversational prompts.

Chris Brähler, chief product officer for SDVI, said the redesign aims to create a platform that is more flexible, scalable, and accessible for engineers and operators. The company plans to demonstrate the new Rally platform and its AI capabilities at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas at booth W1553 in the West Hall.

SDVI is a privately held company based in Silicon Valley, California, with offices in the U.S. and Europe. The company provides cloud-based media supply chain technology designed to optimize content ingest, processing, packaging, and distribution operations.
