Globecast completes cloud-centric upgrade of Singapore facility

Contributed Content / Press Release May 19, 2026

Globecast has completed a renovation of its Singapore facility, transforming it into a cloud-centric, IP-enabled hub for its Asia-Pacific customers.

The upgrade follows the opening of Globecast’s Westlake Village facility in California and aligns with the company’s global strategy to modernize its infrastructure. The renovation supports hybrid, software-defined media workflows and aims to provide flexible and resilient solutions.

The Singapore facility, originally focused on traditional linear broadcast operations, now features a reduced physical footprint and a shift toward integrated cloud, IP, and OTT workflows. This reduces reliance on legacy hardware and enhances operational flexibility.

Key technical areas such as the Technical Operations Center, Master Control Room, and Playout Control Room have been reconfigured to incorporate cloud-based processing, IP connectivity, and centralized monitoring and control systems.

The upgraded facility offers a modern working environment and is designed to accommodate future network capacity increases and cybersecurity enhancements. It supports both traditional broadcast services and next-generation IP and cloud workflows.

Chris Pulis, chief technology officer of Globecast, said the project redefined the broadcast facility by integrating cloud, IP, and advanced monitoring into a unified environment. He added that the upgrade supports the company’s strategic plan to transform operations worldwide.

The renovation was carried out primarily by Globecast’s in-house engineering teams, who managed design, migration, and implementation. The company emphasized its role as both a service provider and systems integrator.

The nine-month project maintained full operational continuity, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery to customers throughout the upgrade.
