Disguise has partnered with Creative Technology to supply the visual playback infrastructure for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

This marks the eighth consecutive year that Disguise and Creative Technology have collaborated on the Eurovision Song Contest, one of Europe’s largest live broadcast events. Disguise’s GX 3 media servers will be used to power the event’s visuals, supporting a stage design that relies more heavily on LED displays and optimizing workflows for IP-VFC (Internet Protocol Video Frame Capture).

The system is designed to meet the scale and flexibility needs of Eurovision’s dynamic staging and fast-paced broadcast environment. Disguise has worked with Creative Technology to improve IP-VFC performance and workflows for large-scale broadcasts. Eurovision 2026 will be among the first major live broadcast productions to use the latest IP-VFC firmware update, which enhances stability and performance for GX 3 servers.

The new firmware supports resilient, low-latency video distribution across Eurovision’s LED and broadcast infrastructure using ST 2110 workflow technology. Disguise engineers will be on-site during rehearsals and live broadcasts to assist with integration and technical support.

“Eurovision always succeeds in raising the bar creatively and technically,” said Niklas Ljung, Group Technical Director at Creative Technology. “This year, the scale and flexibility of the LED environment is a key part of that ambition. Working with Disguise, we’ve been able to refine our workflows and build a system that supports both the creative vision and the reliability demands of a live broadcast of this magnitude.”

More than 35 broadcasters are expected to cover the event, which regularly attracts a global audience exceeding 160 million viewers.

Other partners involved in the technical setup include Megapixel, which provides video processing solutions, and ROE Visual, supplying the LED displays.

“The Eurovision Song Contest continues to set the benchmark for innovation in live entertainment, and is an incredibly exciting early showcase of our latest IP-VFC technology in a demanding broadcast environment,” said Camilla Powell, Head of Product at Disguise. “Through our continued partnership with Creative Technology, we’re proud to support one of the most ambitious live productions in the world.”
