Fubo has named former Disney streaming executive Alisa Bowen CEO, succeeding co-founder David Gandler following the company’s combination with Hulu + Live TV.

Bowen most recently served as president of Disney+ and spent 10 years in executive roles at Walt Disney. She also helped develop Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ and previously held positions at News Corp., Dow Jones and Thomson Reuters.

“I am excited to lead Fubo in its next phase as we sharpen its strategy across sports, news and entertainment, accelerate growth and drive profitability, while delivering even greater value to Fubo and Hulu + Live subscribers, our advertisers and our content partners,” Bowen said in a statement.

She added that she plans to work with Fubo’s leadership team to strengthen the company’s position in the streaming market and increase shareholder value.

The leadership change follows the transaction combining Fubo’s sports-focused streaming service with Disney’s Hulu + Live TV business.

Gandler, who led Fubo for 11 years, has resigned from the company’s board and will not seek re-election.

“We have built a dynamic streaming platform centered around innovative multichannel video programming distribution into one of the largest pay TV providers in the United States,” Gandler said in a statement.

Bowen is expected to join Fubo’s board, subject to shareholder approval at the company’s annual meeting July 28, 2026.
