Updated broadcast facility and studios that debuted with ESPN’s 2024 Wimbledon tennis coverage, located at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

ESPN embraces IP and HDR in major Wimbledon broadcast facility upgrade

The updates, completed within 100 days, feature new shooting options, an interview area, an interactive touchscreen, a “mega wall” video display and enhanced lighting inside the newly expanded Studio 3, which overlooks Court 18. A secondary studio was also created in the facility for interviews, with new technical infrastructure throughout. 

Additionally, two new control rooms with 1080p HDR capabilities and various technical upgrades were installed to improve production quality and workflow. 

The spaces are home to ESPN’s coverage of Wimbledon each July, including the studio show “Wimbledon – Second Serve.”
