TSN built its 2026 FIFA World Cup studio in Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver, placing the broadcast near Canada’s matches and the activity surrounding the tournament.
The temporary structure measured 53 feet wide by 37 feet deep and featured a 44-foot opening across the rear. That opening framed views of the waterfront, the North Shore mountains and Stanley Park rather than relying on LED walls or virtual scenery.
The design combined West Coast modern architecture with visual elements drawn from TSN’s World Cup graphics package while avoiding a rustic appearance.
A 30-foot wood-fronted desk anchored the main presentation area, with a couch zone for interviews and a separate standing position for analysis. Two large outdoor screens extended the studio into the plaza, where fans could watch matches and live broadcasts before the structure was dismantled after Vancouver’s final World Cup game.
