‘CBS Evening News’

The “CBS Evening News” used its normal open with topical square shaped imagery.

The network also mixed in a union-jack inspired textural background along with a wide rectangular logotype reading “Manchester Terror Attack” placed between two thin borders with additional British flag inspired accents.
CBS’s backgrounds also incorporated a mix of imagery borrowed from footage from the scene.

A slightly different design of the horizontal logotype was also tucked atop the show’s standard lower thirds, with the union jack design moving to the far left.

Anchor Scott Pelley anchored from England with bright yellow crime scene tape behind him and visible on camera during wide framing (ABC News was caught “faking” a shot with crime scene tape in November).
