NewscastStudio has received pictures from a tipster of what he or she says is the new CNN studio in Atlanta.

Inside Cable News previously reported CNN is constructing a new set for its domestic network at its Atlanta headquarters. In addition, a large part of the current newsroom, located camera right, has been walled off for months now, though it’s not clear if this is the location of the new studio.

The set in the photos appears to be very large with many modern elements. The set looks like it will be heavily stocked with technology, including a large array of flat panel monitors in one area.

Though not confirmed to be of CNN, there is one key clue in the photos: a construction cone stenciled with “C-N-N.”

This is indeed the new CNN set for domestic. It is located on the 7th floor of the CNN
center in Atlanta. It used to actually be two studios. One of which contained a Nancy Grace set. The new studio will have a large video wall
    and touchscreen.

Who cares about a new studio for CNN, MSNBC, FOX or any other newsy outlet..its all about reporting the facts and not their interpretations…ostentatious corporate wombs do nothing for broadcast content…bye George…(~.-)

Are they going to then bury the management idiots in the old studio? Perhaps covering it as breaking news (or is that breaking wind)?

  6. Reality Check says:

This is not on the same floor as the main newsroom, it’s certainly not “walled off” in any way. The main newsroom and existing set is several floors below this. May is right, although I bet it will be late.

  7. timeoutofmind says:

should be something new innovative, i bet: monitor walls and glass blocks.

  11. Chris says:

Anonymous: You have to keep in mind, CNN’s had their main newsroom set in Atlanta for years now, and to be honest, it hasn’t aged well in all quarters.

    Rule one in television:

When your program(s) are in trouble, change the set.

Clearly CNN’s first admission that they have a problem.

    And about time.
