CNN ‘bar chart’ is a bit confusing
CNN’s “bar graph” data is a bit confusing visually bit is an interesting attempt to really dig deep into the demographic results. The sheer amount of data being shown on screen is a bit too much and hard to make sense of; unlike the touchscreens John King uses.
The graph seems to exist more just to show fancy animations when a bar is touched.
That said, we do like the idea of putting the screen in portrait instead of the traditional landscape. Not only does this lends itself better for the bar graphics, it’s also just a neat twist on video walls.
It’s a bit unusual, however, to have that large screen to the right that’s apparently turned off or at least not displaying any graphics. Perhaps it’s broken?
