Victor Paganuzzi, a set designer for CBS and CBS News for nearly 50 years, retired this past week and the network took a moment to bid farewell and offer a tribute.
Paganuzzi started at CBS in 1962, working on the “The Jackie Gleason Show.” He then transitioned to CBS News in 1974, where he created sets for a variety of news programs and special events, including election sets.
His most memorable project, however, was the set for “Sunday Morning,” designing what would become the show’s trademark look of plexiglass panels emblazoned with bold typography and the show’s logo.
