WCBS-TV, the CBS O&O in New York City, moved into its new home for Thursday’s noon newscast.
The clean, modern new look includes an expansive cityscape background behind the anchors with blurred glass panels on both sides that add a great sense of depth and dimension to the shots.
The set’s weather center includes additional blurring panels, plenty of monitors, an L-shaped desk and dimensional letter along the top of the set.
An area between the weather center and main anchor desk includes stepped backlit panels fronted with near borderless flat panels.
This weather segment, posted on WCBS-TV’s site, provides some good views of the set and weather center.
